It’s FRIDAY, woohoo!! This Friday I am linking up with April, Darci, Natasha, and Christina again! I am new to blogging (consistently at least), but I love the community things like this promote, and am happy to participate!
This week’s Five are dedicated to my favorite person in the whole world.
ONE: Tomorrow is my husband’s 29th birthday!!! He is the sweetest, strongest, most patient, loving husband to me, and a fun, gentle, caring, creative, able leader and daddy to our son. I am abundantly blessed to be his wife. Happy happy happy birthday, babe!
TWO: Over Todd’s birthday weekend, we will be on Topsail Island, NC with his family. This is pretty much my favorite place on earth. We will be chasing Davis around the beach, playing corn hole, eating too much, and celebrating multiple birthdays. Todd’s is this weekend, but his mom, dad, and older brother all had birthdays in July.

THREE: Since Todd loves mint and chocolate, my plan is to make a cake like this one, using my own recipes. Chocolate peppermint cake, with peppermint cream cheese buttercream with bits of dark chocolate, and I’m garnishing it with pieces of Andes mints. Yum.
Inspiration for this cake found on Pinterest, via this site.
FOUR: Speaking of mint, this is a current obsession for both of us. Thin Mint coffee creamer. Goodness it’s delicious. Coffee is a necessary part of my day, every day. My mother-in-law introduced us to this, and I think we have a new addiction habit.
FIVE: One of Todd’s birthday gifts is an afternoon of paddle boarding. Since we’re already at the beach, I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to try it! There is a company on the island who rents paddle boards, kayaks, surfboards, etc. Hope he enjoys it!

So sorry for the late reply – I’ve slacked on the blog this week! Thank you for the comment! Topsail is amazing…you and your husband should go some time! It’s lovely.
