As the Summer started to wind down, I became determined to find a pair of black skinny jeans that were distressed. I love distressed jeans, and I thought a black pair would be perfect! Plus I love wearing black and white. I had seen a few pictures on blogs and Pinterest, but most of the pairs I saw cost much more than I wanted to pay. Here is some inspiration:
I ended up finding this pair of black distressed skinny jeans at Old Navy, and they’re perfect. (They look much more black and less gray in person). They are mid-rise and fit well. Mine are a size 2, and I suggest possibly sizing down or go for the lower end of your typical sizing. Old Navy clothes seem to run a little big.
Update: Here are a few other sources for ripped/distressed black skinny jeans:
So I wanted to think of several ways to wear them. I’m sure that I will come up with more outfit ideas as the temperature outside continues to drop. For now, here are 3 ways to wear them with neutrals.* Yes, I consider chambray and leopard neutrals!
*Realized after I took all the pictures that one way to wear them that I didn’t include would be to wear them with stripes. Duh! Perfect combo.
If the items in the pictures aren’t available, I’ve found alternatives for most items. Because I mainly “shop my closet” for these posts, many of the items are from last year.

*Nordstrom Rack has a great selection of ankle boots!
This is a picture of me wearing the above chambray blouse. It hangs a little lower in the back and I love the cut. I know I’ll wear this too often this season!

Adding a military jacket or vest to this in cooler temps, and switching out flats for ankle boots would look chic for transitional weather!
Black Distressed Jeans with Patterned Blouse
Patterned Blouse Options: Polka Dot Blouse; Botanical Print Blouse; Grid Print Blouse Asos // Shoes (I found mine at Marshall’s last year for so cheap! They are my favorite!) 6pm.com // Watch Zappos // Bracelet BaubleBar (mine is so similar, but was actually not from there) // Necklace Kendra Scott (mine is a look-alike, but now sold out)
These types of posts are a bit out of my comfort zone, but I am enjoying them. Let me know if you have have any critiques or ideas.

I love your white jeans look – mainly because white jeans are usually unexpected during the fall season! http://hideorgochic.wordpress.com
