First of all, I wanted to say that I’m praying for Christina, her dad, and her family. I’m sure most of you all who participate in this Five on Friday link-up are as well. I love this link-up, and though I don’t know her personally, I enjoy reading her blog and feel so terrible for what they’re going through with her dad’s diagnosis. It broke my heart to read her post this week. I’ve had a parent with cancer (praise God my mom is a survivor) and it is so scary. Thankful that the Lord is a healer.
Thank you to the other girls: April, Darci, and Natasha as well for hosting! I’m also linking up with Karli from September Farm today.
Today I am very excited, because starting this morning, I am on a mommas-only trip! Woohoo! Sarah, Ashley and I are off to Charleston for a night for eating, shopping, cocktails, girl talk, etc. Thank you to our hubbies for keeping the kids. (xoxo, Todd)
On to my random 5…
ONE: Clothing gifts. I put on an outfit the other day and realized the major components were gifts! My mom gave me this cardigan, and Casey (bff in France) gave me this scarf. Love both of these items, and I really love the ones who gave them to me! PS, don’t judge if you see me in this outfit repeatedly.
TWO: Speaking of clothes, I had to document Davis’ toddler style earlier this week. The buffalo check shirt is a little snug on him, but layering it over a t-shirt covered in tractor and truck pictures worked perfectly! (shirt: Carter’s, long sleeve t-shirt: Old Navy, pants: Target, shoes: Tom’s)
THREE: I tried a new macaron flavor this week: Mint Chocolate.
FOUR: New Charlotte Hornets t-shirt! The Honor Roll has a new Hornets shirt available, just in time for Christmas. We enjoyed our time at the game last week, and I’m hoping to go back another time this season. If you want an Honor Roll shirt before Christmas, place your order by the 19th!
FIVE: Been thinking about this since I pinned it earlier this week.
Well, happy Friday all! I hope you enjoy your Christmas-y plans this weekend.
Maybe I’ll finish my Christmas decorations and wrapping and gifts and cards when I get home. Maybe. Hopefully.
Gosh I’m behind.

Can I just say I LOVE your blog name? Funny though, at first glance I thought it said “Seven Layer Chocolate” and my thought was, that’s my kind of gal! (I’m a bit hungry at the moment and my mind just went to food) But Seven Layer Charlotte is great too…very unique 🙂
