Our Weekend

This past weekend started off with way more fun than our typical Friday nights.  We went to the Florida Georgia Line concert!  Davis stayed with my parents and had a blast…pancake breakfast and a walk around the greenway near their house on Saturday morning.

We relaxed, worked around the house, and rode bikes.  Helmets were a must according to our little guy!  I did some baking and cooking.  I made the Homemade Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop Tarts from Sally’s Baking Addiction!  They were definitely well-received!  Next time I make them I’ll make the pie crust ahead of time.  I also used her recipe for pie crust to make two types of quiche.

Sunday was church and a wild goose chase (aka, I took us to the wrong town en route to a Craig’s list listing) for a big boy bed for Davis.  We went from one town, the wrong one, stopped for Mexican food, then finally got to the right place!  I’m so excited to have this Jenny Lind bed for his room.  AND it was only $45 (plus gas for miles of extra driving ;)).

The boys ran to get Kenan some food, and apparently found a different option for the big boy bed.

Now back to reality…bring on the coffee!
