Friday Favorites

Happy Fall, girls!  Here’s to cooler weather, leaves falling, and pumpkin spice ev-er-y-thing!

I haven’t blogged as much as I intended to this week, so today’s post is chock-full.

ONE: I have to admit that modeling is just not my best skill!  But, the exciting news is that Honor Roll Designs has NEW shirts for sale in the shop!  Including a FRIENDS shirt and tank and a Ninja Turtles shirt in toddler sizes!!! I’d love for you to check them out.  I will absolutely be wearing the Friends shirts soon (I’m thinking of layering it with a chambray shirt or with a cardigan).

TWO: Gold christmas lights!  I bet most of you have already seen this on Pinterest, but I had to share again.  I think it’s quite genius.  With our new house, we’re making a new Christmas decorating plan, and I just may have to incorporate this DIY project.

If you’re not as into DIY, here are a couple of options for gold string lights that you can purchase.

THREE: Our oven has been broken for almost a month.  We can now use it sparingly, but it still isn’t 100%.  We’ve had to be quite creative with meals (especially because I cook every day).  Todd and I did discover the other night that you can grill enchiladas.  Who knew? He set the grill on a very low temperature, and we kept them covered with foil until the very end.  These are sweet potato and black bean enchiladas with pineapple salsa – delish! 

FOUR:  My outfit from our date night above Charlotte last weekend was different than clothes I typically wear.  I have had these wider-leg off white dress pants for at least 5 (maybe even 7?) years.  My blouse is from Asos last year, but I found another great option.  I wore my favorite Dolce Vita Nolin sandals, which I found on major sale (link below).

FIVE: Clearly I’m into gold today (no surprise there). 😉  I saw this makeup tutorial on Pinterest for a gold smoky eye.  I want to try this soon!
