We have been re-watching Friends lately (for probably the fourth time), and Rachel’s hair reminds me of how I always used to want my hair – layered, long, and straight. It is still layered and long, and naturally straight. But now I like my hair best when it is curled, and aim for the loose waves look. I wanted to show you how I achieve that look with a curling iron. I am quite positive that this will be one of those posts that I’ll look back on and be embarrassed about. But…I’m sharing it anyway! Only because some of you girls have asked, and I like to help if I can. Plus I love seeing how other real girls/mamas do their hair and makeup, so I thought I’d join! I also included some products that I like, and the exact (inexpensive!) curling iron I use.
But really, please don’t judge my video skills. I am in no way claiming to be a beauty vlogger! Thought I’d take a detour from food posts for a minute. But do not fret – I am sticking with the “food blogger” title and will be back to posting a recipe next time!
Loose Waves with a Curling Iron
Products I use:
All of these are drugstore buys, besides the Oribe spray. That comes in a smaller size if you want to try it out without spending the money on the full-size bottle. I do love it, though! And I’m sure there are better curling irons out there, but I LOVE both of my cheapie Conair ones.

If y’all have another other hair tips and tricks, please share them in the comments! I’m always trying to learn, and I know other readers would appreciate them as well. Thank you for putting up with my non-food post. 🙂

Thank you! I know I should probably invest in a nicer one, but it’s almost easier to stick with what I know.
