Hallelujah, praise the Lord, thank you Jesus! It’s FRIDAY! The first part of this week was rough. Not the kind of rough like we had any major, difficult issues within our family. I’m really just being dramatic, because it was rough in that Davis cried a whole lot and I was here by myself. BUT, I think that still gives me a legitimate reason to be super happy that it’s Friday!

ONE: H&M online shopping is dangerous. We don’t yet have a store here in Charlotte, but that doesn’t mean my shopping cart is empty. And they have baby clothes, which are my favorites for D. Here are some things in my cart, not including items for Davis. At least the clothes aren’t expensive!
TWO: We are planning to renovate our kitchen. Woohoo! This was actually my husband’s idea. Love him. Right now our cabinets are a maple color, our counters are laminate, and our sink is black. Can’t wait to change all of that! Grateful for Pinterest and it’s inspiration photos for this project. We’re going for whites and grays, and a subway tile backsplash.

THREE: On my wish list: this customizable bracelet in honor of Davis. It’s dainty, but not too girly, and would look good alone or added to arm candy. Can I wait until December?

FOUR: My hair. It’s always in some sort of up-do these days. I’m using “up-do” very loosely. In reality, it’s more like, I have a baby who always pulls my hair, I don’t have time to wash it every day, plus it’s been hot hot hot in the South lately. What I really mean is a messy bun or a loop. Oh well, it’s easy. Hakuna matata.

FIVE: Tonight is date night. Yes! These days, Todd and I don’t have take much time to ourselves, so nights out are great. Our plans are to look at granite for the kitchen, then go out for drinks and dinner. Maybe in NoDa? Todd’s in charge of the plans! This will be me, pre-date.

I’ve been using the “up-do” a lot lately, too. Glad it’s finally cooled off a bit, though. This rain has got to get out of NC, though. I’m over rainy Saturdays!
