Oh Monday, why do you have to come so quickly? Thank the Lord for coffee!
Our weekend was great, but it seemed to fly by. Friday night was date night. My parents kept Davis (thank you, Mom and Dad!) while Todd and I went granite shopping for the kitchen, and out for drinks and dinner in NoDa.
We sampled beers and went on a tour of Noda brewery. Then we had fish tacos at Cabo Fish Taco. We hadn’t been there in awhile, but it did not disappoint! I had the salmon tacos – delish.
Saturday was rainy and cool, so we mostly stayed inside. I made breakfast burritos: egg, spinach, goat cheese, sriracha, and avocado. Then for lunch we had (leftover) pasta: spaghetti, basil pecan pesto, spinach, garbanzo beans, grape tomatoes, and parmesan.
I made Davis’ baby food for the next month or so, and Todd volunteered at church that night. These are the ingredients for D’s baby food.
The fun part of the day was that my brother came to visit! Davis loved hanging out with Uncle Patrick, and stealing his hat.
Sunday was church (you can watch the sermons here or here), lunch with my family, a long walk with our boys (Davis and Kenan), and a visit with our friends who have a new baby. I made some banana bread to take them, which was really just an excuse to hold their baby girl! This is a picture of us soon after she was born a couple weeks ago. She is precious! (So is her mama).
Hope you all have a great start to the week!
