Todd and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary in September, and this weekend we were able to enjoy an extended date out in Charlotte! His mom and sister came to stay with Davis. We left Saturday morning, and got back Sunday morning. We have only left Davis overnight a couple times, so it is definitely still hard for us. You know how people say that once you become parents, when you’re not with your kids, you talk and think about them? Yeah, it’s true. We had to make an effort to focus on each other, and not just talk about Davis. Having a strong marriage will help us be stronger parents! We did buy him a “souvenir” though. 🙂
We took a long walk on the Sugar Creek Greenway, had brunch at Toast in Dilworth, had Starbucks twice, went shopping at South Park, had a delicious dinner out, and stayed uptown. I loved getting away with my favorite person!

Not sure how, but he grew while we were gone. And became cuter. 🙂
