Last Week: Snow Days and Valentines

February 20, 2014

I meant to post this on Monday and life just got in the way this week!  I’m posting pictures of snow, and now it’s 70 degrees outside.  Charlotte weather is bipolar, but I certainly don’t mind the sunshine in the middle of February!  We got outside in the sun with some friends this morning and it was so refreshing – exactly what I needed.

Back to the point of this post….we were snowed in for most of last week.  We had 7+ inches in our yard – unheard of around here!  I wanted to document some more of our snow pictures, along with our Valentine’s Day.

This picture makes my heart melt.  Love these two so much.  And they are just so good looking! xo

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, I made GF almond-strawberry pancakes for breakfast, and we gave Davis his (small) gift – some Melissa & Doug animal magnets.  He loved them!  (We took the smaller ones away until he’s older).  Todd and I decided to have our Valentine’s Day date out tomorrow night, but we still had a mini date at home.  We had Cowfish, a raspberry sorbet and prosecco cocktail, and dark chocolate caramels (Trader Joe’s).  Oh, and we had an earthquake that night!  Seriously, Charlotte weather is nuts!

Also fun last weekend was our friend Clara’s first birthday party!  How cute is she with that heart cake?! Hope Davis and Clara are okay with an arranged marriage. 🙂

That sushi looks amazing! We’ve had crazy weather too! 10+ inches of snow and then 63 degrees yesterday. It’s weird taking a walk in almost 70 degree weather when there is still lots of snow on the ground:) Your son is adorable!
