Davis’ Easter Basket

April 17, 2014

I was planning to post about Davis’ Easter basket today, then I saw on Instagram that Darci is hosting a blog link-up, then Sarah invited me to join her blog hop about Easter baskets!  Perfect timing! You can visit their blogs and use #EasterBasketHop on IG to see other kids’ baskets.  It’s not too late to put together a fun basket for your little ones!

My goal was to include a new toy that Davis will use (in other words, that will hopefully keep him occupied for more than 20 seconds), some summer items, a book, and some snacks.  We don’t really eat candy, and are not ready for Davis to eat it yet, since he’s only one…raisins and Annie’s honey graham bunnies it is!  I’m going to put some of the snacks in the eggs – Davis is really into opening and closing plastic eggs right now. Here is a breakdown of what’s included in his basket:

Davis Easter Basket

Rash Guard | Shark Swim Trunks (Davis’ are striped, but these are cute, too!) | Ollie’s Easter Eggs book | Hohner Kids Music Band Set | Annie’s Honey Bunny Grahams | Trader Joe’s Organic Raisins

*I can’t find the sunglasses online, but they’re from Target – $5!! Turquoise and orange.

The book is an Easter themed story with the same characters as the “BooBoo” book that he loves.  The bathing  suit, rash guard, and sunglasses are all for this summer.  He loves trying on sunglasses so we bought him his own pair!  The toy in the back is part of a musical instrument set.  Hoping the instruments will capture his attention!

I’m looking forward to this Easter weekend: church, family, Easter egg hunt, Spring weather, good food, colorful outfits.  God gave us an incredible gift by sacrificing His son so that we may have life.  Celebrating Jesus’ resurrection and worshipping God are the main focuses of the weekend and I pray that Davis embraces these truths as he grows.

Happy Easter, everyone!  Thank you for reading!
