Happy Friday! I feel spoiled, because our weekend has already kind of gotten started. My mom kept Davis last night so that we could have a date night! We went shopping and ate at Cowfish and cheated on our eating plan. Love fun times with my best guy!
This weekend has lots of fun events and celebrations, and I need to get ready for the first one – Cam and Bryleigh’s party!, so I’ll keep this short and sweet.
Congratulations to April and her husband! Their baby girl is adorable!! And thanks as always to Darci, Christina, and Natasha for hosting as well.
ONE: Flashing back to last weekend, because I haven’t talked about Mother’s Day at all on here. All I really want to say is that my boys spoiled me! Awesome gifts, plus all afternoon to shop with my mom – so great! Todd got me a Clarisonic – which I am already obsessed with, a workout shirt that is so “me,” and these flowers. They’re gorgeous!!
TWO: A few days ago, in the midst of a battle with Davis over breakfast (I’m talking throwing a fit, crying, hitting away the spoon, spitting out food), I ordered the book Bringing Up Boys by James Dobson. Expedited shipping and all, haha! He isn’t always like that!! Anybody read this? Or, any other parenting books, especially ones geared towards boys that you’d recommend?!
THREE: Queen City t-shirt. This is one of the new shirts in my husband and our friend Ryan’s etsy shop, Honor Roll Designs. It is definitely my favorite, and even though this picture makes it look more like it would only be for a man, it looks great on girls too! If I remember to, I’ll post a picture of me wearing it. I’ve worn mine so much and I just got it a couple weeks ago. I have to stop myself from wearing it too often. 😉 The colors are purple and teal – Hornets!
FOUR: My cousin, Lauren, is pregnant with a baby girl, due late June. I am SO excited for her and her husband! That little girl will be very loved by both sides of her family, and she will certainly be stylish! I’m helping host her shower tomorrow, which means I get to see almost all of my cousins and I can’t wait!
FIVE: I sent this quote to two of my best girlfriends the other night. I was cracking up and their responses were the same. I’m not eating cupcakes right now, but still, how refreshing is this?!
Now go enjoy your weekend, ladies! Hope it’s fabulous!

Aren’t they great? One of my favorite color combinations, too!

Those flowers are beautiful! Your boys did good.
I just ordered Bringing up Girls! Super excited to start reading it (as well as Raising a Princess).
That shirt is perfection and so is that quote. My girlfriends would totally appreciate it. 🙂
Have a great weekend!

I’ve heard great things about Raising a Princess! I hope those books are helpful. I’m praying Bringing Up Boys will be for me. 😉 I’ve also heard great things about Shepherding a Child’s Heart. Have a great night!
