Memorial Day Weekend

May 28, 2014

Topsail Island is basically a second home to us.  I’ve been going to the beach there since I was really little, and I just love it.  I’m so grateful that my grandparents, on both sides of my family, have at different points owned homes there!  What a blessing to be able to spend time with extended family at a gorgeous beach!

For Memorial Day weekend we went down some of my family and had an awesome time!  We did all of the must-dos for our beach trips: multiple cups of coffee in the morning, runs on the beach, sunbathing, cornhole, playing in the sand, throwing the football, bocce ball, fun drinks, very little makeup or fixed hair (!!), golf (the guys), and good conversation and laughs.

Here are some pictures from the weekend!

I love both of these – Davis in his sunglasses and backwards hat, and Uncle David teaching him how to play solitaire on the iPad.  So cute.

Now for the beach pictures!  Davis ended up loving the water, and thank goodness for me, Todd and Patrick were willing to take him in it!  I went into the shallow part, but it’s still quite cold.  His favorite activity may have been climbing in and out of the beach chairs – ha!

Can’t wait to go back!
