I just need to say that I am so blessed to have family willing to keep Davis whenever we need. I am also blessed with a sweet husband who is a very hard worker. Sometimes I wish he’d relax more (so that I wouldn’t feel so bad being lazy – haha!). But even with an always overflowing to-do list he will always stop what he needs to do to help me with projects around the house, or just getting some items marked off my to-do list! And I RARELY hear him complain – he is a great example for me.
All of that does apply to our weekend! My parents kept Davis for us Friday night so that we could see Todd’s little sister graduate high school! We also were able to visit some with Todd’s family.
Then on Saturday Todd and I went to Ikea and started on some projects at home. We are reorganizing Todd’s office to accommodate The Honor Roll, making our bonus/guest room a playroom, and planning to do some renovations in both upstairs bathrooms. Change is good, right? 😉
Over-motivated, and low on free time. We’ll get it done somehow!
Also on Saturday night we attended an event at a traveling art gallery. They were showcasing several artists, along with a company who brings old furniture back to life. They had a grilled cheese food truck and craft beer as well. We met some friends there to support our friend Kyle Worthy, who was one of the featured artists! (This is the best family pic we got)
On Sunday Davis turned 18 months old!! We met up with my family for some frozen yogurt to celebrate. It was his first time having frozen yogurt, and m&ms. You have to splurge on “birthdays,” right? My parents gave him a little lawn mower and he is obsessed! Such a perfectly timed gift – thanks Mom and Dad!
