I am officially back from vacation(s)! We were planning to go to the beach for the 4th, but since we’ve been gone so much lately, and Todd has a lot of travel coming up, we decided to stay home.
Last week Todd and I traveled to the Outer Banks in NC for some friends’ wedding. Todd works with the groom, and we’ve gotten to know them both as friends. We spent a couple extra days there because it is quite a long drive, and it was so nice to get away for a little while. But, we definitely missed our little guy! (He was with my parents and had a blast!) The first morning, even though we had gotten into town around 2 am the night before, we still woke up at 6. Then went back to sleep of course!
We spent time with friends/co-workers, went out to dinner two nights in a row, played (Todd, not me) hours of beach volleyball, went for a long bike ride, and slept in(!!!!).
We had a fun, relaxing, grown-up trip, and the wedding was gorgeous! The ceremony was on the beach, the cocktail hour was on a lawn right off the dunes, and the reception was inside, right on the waterway with a beautiful view to see the sunset. They did a wonderful job planning and hosting, and I’m so happy we were able to attend! Thank you for having us, Patrick and Maureen!
