Todd’s Birthday: Flag Football

August 22, 2014

Yesterday I talked about the food that we made and the  restaurants where we ate for Todd’s 30th, because, well, this is supposed to be mainly a food blog.  Today I’m talking about all the other fun stuff.  The main bash for Todd’s 30th involved a lot of sports.  There were several conversations of guys telling Todd, “we aren’t in college any more,” but Todd kept saying “30 is the new 20,” and got a bunch of his friends together for a big flag football game.  This event was complete with custom team shirts (thank you, Ryan!).  Then later that day some of the guys played golf, and we ended the day with a cookout for the golfers at my parents’ house.  Between football and golf, I think ibuprofen was necessary for most of the guys that night. 😉

We had friends from out of town, from college, and from church, my parents, and our brothers out for the football game, and I’m pretty positive everyone had a blast!  It was a million degrees and 100% humidity, but worth it.  Most of the wives and kids came out, too, so we all enjoyed the morning at the park.  THANK YOU to everyone who came to celebrate!!!

These boys, oh my gracious! Davis, Cam, William, and Wyatt loved being at the park.  Playing in the dirt added to their fun.

Thanks again to everyone who helped us celebrate!  One more big happy birthday wish to my husband!  30 is going to be the best year yet!
