As the temperatures drop, my wardrobe tends to get more neutral, but this year I’m aiming to add a little more color in my Fall and Winter outfits. I love jewel tones and think they are great for colder weather. I especially gravitate towards blues, deep teal, emerald green, and wine colors. When I saw the royal blue clutch at Marshall’s (in the outfit below), it was just the inspiration I needed! Royal blue is one of my favorite colors to wear, and for only $17, I had to have it!
When it comes to adding bright colors to an outfit, I tend to do so minimally. A pop of color here and there can make an outfit! Adding color with a clutch, another accessory, or just one or two pieces is key.
I’ve shown a pop of color in the clutch and the blue earrings paired with a relatively neutral, very pale Carolina blue blouse, jeans, and nude pumps. Right now the blouse is less than $20 from Asos! It comes in off white and dark teal, too. I will probably wear this with ankle boots to be more casual, and a leather jacket or blazer when it’s cool. It is October and still 80 degrees, so for now, short sleeves will do!
Here are some other outfits I found on Pinterest with jewel tone pops, who pulled it off very well, along with my outfit and the sources below, if available.

I wore almost this exact outfit last night out for a girls night yesterday. I was already late to dinner, but first #letmetakeaselfie (which is not my greatest skill!).
Thank you all for reading! Happy Thursday!

Isn’t it great?! Mine is a size 2. I’m 5’5″ and typically wear a S or XS in tops.
