Woohoo, the weekend is here! We have plans to see some of my family who are coming into town, and I’m heading out of town for a baby shower. Then I’m baking for some birthday parties on Sunday after church. I always look forward to the weekends, busy schedule or not, because they are the days my little family spends the most time together.
I’m linking up with Darci, Christina, Natasha and April again this week. I hope everyone has a lovely Friday!
ONE: I’ve got to be honest, I’m missing this view right about now. Last Friday morning we were waking up to a view of Central Park, with the whole day ahead to explore the city. I love Charlotte, and I am usually a homebody, but we just had such a wonderful time in New York. You can read more about our trip in this post from earlier in the week.
TWO: Davis turns 2 in about 6 weeks, and I am not prepared. I haven’t done anything for his party, besides deciding on a theme. Thanks to help from Todd and my girlfriends, we’ve settled on a school bus theme. He is obsessed with them, and I really think he’ll enjoy having school bus decor everywhere. Here is some inspiration for a Wheels on the Bus party I found on Pinterest.
THREE: I am planning to sell macarons for the next several weeks. I will have one flavor/week, including: Pumpkin Spice, Cookies and Cream, Salted Caramel, and S’mores. I’ll post more details on my blog this weekend, but I wanted to give anyone interested a heads up! (I don’t ship them yet, so this basically just applies to Charlotte locals).
This picture is from a sale I did several weeks ago.
FOUR: Framing old recipes. I pinned this idea from Style Me Pretty earlier this week, because I think the idea would work perfectly in our home. Our dining room has a cake/baking/vintage theme (china cabinet full of cake stands), and the women in my family are admirable cooks and bakers! My granny was a huge inspiration to me in baking, so it would be really special to have some type of gallery wall with their handwritten recipes.
FIVE: Always a good reminder. Love this perspective.
Cheers to Friday, y’all! Thank you for reading!
