This weekend started off with a girls trip to Charleston and ended with time with my family. No complaints here! We spent our time in Charleston eating, shopping (just browsing the stores, really), and relaxing.
Lunch on Friday was at Taco Boy, and it was delicious! We were served quickly, and I loved all of the taco options. Oh, and there was a company having a Christmas work party there. They were all dressed in Santa suits, and asked us to watch them have an arm-wrestling competition. Ha! Needless, to say, they were having a good time, and we thought it was pretty hilarious. Wish I had taken a picture!
We shopped along King St that afternoon, then ate at Basil Thai that night. They had gluten free Pad Thai on the menu, so I was a happy camper.
The next day we got Starbucks, walked through the Charleston farmers’ market, which was amazing, and had a delicious lunch at Butcher and Bee before driving back to Charlotte. Butcher and Bee was so good. So good. I had the Chilaquiles, which I will certainly (attempt to) recreate some time soon. They also had water on a tap and you could choose still or sparkling – I think I need that in my house!
Saturday night my family brought dinner over. Patrick was in town and we always try to get together when he’s home. On Sunday we worked on Christmas crafts and decorations, and toured the gingerbread house competition at the Ballantyne Resort with my family! Davis loved the houses with the trains.
Last night I made Creamy Pesto Pasta – I will post the recipe tomorrow!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my youngest brother, my brother-in-law, Seth! Hope this year is your best yet! Love you!
Cannot believe Christmas is so soon. I’ve seriously got to get my act together. This week is all about the Christmas to-do list! Happy Monday, everyone.
