Christmas is just a few days away! I am so excited for some down time with family, but also, the to-do list is not complete! I’m sure you all are feeling the same way. I did finish decorating – finally!
I’m linking up with April, Darci, Christina, Natasha, and also Karli today.
Here’s to a week filled with joy! I hope you all have a wonderful week celebrating Christ’s birth, and enjoy lots of time with family, extra treats, gift-giving, carols, Christmas pajamas, and so much holiday cheer.
ONE: Our Christmas card! I finally got our cards sent out this week. I shared an outtake on Wednesday, but here is the actual card. (I took a picture of it, so this isn’t the greatest quality).
TWO: My mom made Davis a felt Christmas tree. As per her usual, she went over the top – it is huge and has so many different ornaments! He loves it!
THREE: Todd’s whole family is coming to our house on Sunday. We aren’t all able to be together on Christmas, so we’re celebrating Sunday. I came up with a not so traditional menu for dinner: mahi mahi with pear-pomegranate salsa; coconut lime rice; roasted asparagus; salad. We’re also going to try and use the fire pit to have s’mores for dessert! The pomegranate salsa I’m planning is a version of one from gimme some oven.
FOUR: My grandparents called a couple weeks ago to tell Sarah and I about a Christmas train that they had heard about from friends. He was hoping to take the great-grandkids. We went last night, and the kids loved it! It was really exciting for them, and the adults enjoyed it as well! If you live in NC and would like to go, it is in Denton.
