Happy 2015! I am behind on this post, but I wanted to share a recap of our Christmas holiday. Be prepared for a whole lot of pictures.
My granddaddy organized a time to take 3 of his great-grandbabies to ride the country Christmas train (in Denton, NC). We started with the train ride, then walked around to see the sites, which included a petting zoo, and even riding a pony! They had a blast!
The weekend before Christmas, Todd and I took Davis to see some lights around Charlotte. There is one house in the Colony Rd/Rea Rd area that is amazing! The owner dresses up like Santa and hands out candy canes. He takes up donations for St. Jude Children’s hospital. It was over the top!
Todd’s family came over the weekend before Christmas so that we could all be together to open gifts and have dinner. I took a picture of how our dining room was decorated, before we shuffled all of the furniture around.
We ate dinner, opened gifts, and had s’mores around our fire pit outside. Fun times!!
We spent the days before Christmas, and Christmas morning at my parents’ house. We decorated a cake for Jesus’ (and my granddaddy’s) birthdays. I went to a cookie exchange, and served at church. We all attended our Christmas Eve worship experiences, and it was awesome! Christmas morning was so fun for Davis this year. We loved seeing him open his gifts. He had a hard time moving on to a new gift, because he would get so interested in one at a time.
Christmas night we went to my grandparents’ house. I posted this picture on Instagram yesterday. These littles are adorable helping their great-granddaddy blow out his candles. We got to spend quality time with my aunts and uncles and cousins and grandparents. Loved it!
My uncle David tied ribbons around Bryleigh and Cam’s heads, and Davis wanted one, too. Hilarious, and so manly, huh?
That night we headed to Todd’s parents’ house to spend time with them for a couple days. Unfortunately I didn’t get any pictures there!
I am thankful for the time off, extra time with family, and for a fun, and busy, yet relaxing couple of weeks!
