Faux Leather Tee Outfit

January 22, 2015

When I saw this shirt at Loft, I immediately thought of wearing it for a date night, to church, or to a family event.  It is simple, classy, and dressier than a plain tee or sweater.  Styling this top is easy, as it is such a great neutral color.  It is a mix of a creamy white and gray.  Also! It has 2 fabrics – faux leather paneled on the front and a sweater type material on the back…with a gold zipper on the back.  I’m a sucker for beige and cream colored tops, but this one is do different from what I already had in my closet.  Plus it was on sale when I bought it, and under $20 – win!  It is on sale for a few hours today as well.

I paired this with some of my go-to jeans from Gap, the legging jeans, and my standard nude heels.  The pops of color come from the jewelry.  These earrings are some I found on sale at Anthropologie in December.  I’ve worn them multiple times already, and I scored them for a great deal at around $15!  The cuff has a blue base and gold detailed overlay.  My aunt just gave me this bracelet for my birthday, and I can’t wait to wear it out soon.  Ahem, Todd?  Date soon?  Ok, thanks! xo

Try BaubleBar for some great jewelry options.

If you buy the legging jeans, you may need to go down 1 size.  They do get a little looser throughout the day, but going down a size helps keep them tight!  They are higher waisted, which I know most women can appreciate.

This shows the detail on the back of the shirt:

Thank you for reading this post.  I hadn’t done an outfit post in a while, and for some reason it takes me a lot of extra confidence to post about clothes.  I do enjoy it, though, and I’m hoping to do more of these types of posts!

I love the shirt! Faux leather really helps dress up an everyday outfit. I recently wore a faux leather shirt as well that was mixed with some fabric, would love for you to check it out 🙂

Thank you! Just looked at your post and your outfit was great! I loved the white pants after Labor Day, and I know you said you don’t like peplum but the shirt was perfect with that look on you.

Thank you so much! 🙂 I feel like If you add faux leather to any piece it makes it that much more appealing to me
