I’m BACK! I’ve missed posting the last couple of Fridays. I’m linking up with the four girls from Five on Friday: April, Christina, Natasha, and Darci, and also Oh Hey Friday! with Karli, and another new linkup (for me), Friday Favorites with Erika, Narci, and Andrea.
This Friday I’ve got quite a variety of things to discuss. Here we go!
ONE: Betsy Pittard jewelry. I bought my mom a necklace by this designer for her birthday, and I’ve basically fallen in love with her line. My mom picked a necklace very similar to this one (picture below), and she may find it missing from her closet this Spring. 😉 I found hers at a local boutique called The Cheeky Bean, and I know her jewelry is also sold at Scout & Molly’s in Charlotte. Her jewelry is a little bit boho and edgy, but also classy and nice quality. Big fan, obviously!
TWO: Anyone else guilty of buying wine simply because of the label? This bottle of cava got the best of me at Trader Joe’s last week. How adorable is the bird on this label?!
THREE: For my mom’s birthday dinner on Friday night I made braised short ribs, polenta with parmesan, balsamic mushrooms, maple dijon green beans with bacon, and kale salad. I also made a gluten free simple German chocolate cake. I’m planning to write a post with more recipe details. These short ribs are one of my go-to fancier meals. I enjoyed cooking for and hosting my family for my mom’s birthday!
FOUR: I just ordered this dress from Asos and I’m really hoping it fits! It was on sale and seems like the perfect dress to transition from winter to spring. I am a sucker for this color scheme and print – it is leopard but not too in-your-face. If it fits and I decide to keep it, I’ll hopefully be doing an outfit post around it. Stay tuned.
FIVE: One of my best friends, Margaret, gave me this Anastasia Contour Kit for my birthday. Side note – she is an amazing gift giver. Every baby gift and birthday gift she has given me and Davis have been awesome. Anyway, I’ve been a little intimidated by this contour kit, because I am certainly not a make up pro. But I found a tutorial from The Teacher Diva and I’m excited to try her method!
Go find yourselves a bottle of bubbly with a pretty label and enjoy this Friday! Happy weekend to you all! Thank you for stopping by!

I always select wine by the label when I’m feeling a change but don’t know which one to go with. Also… your dinner looks amazing. So amazing that it’s 9am and I want to come over and eat your leftovers for breakfast!

Ohhh I so need to get / try out the contour palette! Also, we buy wine based on how the pretty the bottle is in general. Maybe we should step up to looking at the label 😉 -Dorrie @ Bear Den Plantation
