It’s Good Friday! The dogwoods in our back yard are blooming, in perfect timing! I love Easter, and cannot wait to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection and new life with family and at church this weekend. Today we’re going to spend some time dyeing Easter eggs, then I have a girls’ night out for my friend Ashley’s birthday! Happy Easter, everyone!
I’m linking up with April, Christina, Natasha; Erika, Andrea and Narci; and Karli.
ONE: This week Davis and I went to the beach with Sarah and her kids, and Ashley and her kids. All of our husbands were extra busy with work and out of town, so the timing worked well. We had some very early mornings, but overall we had such a fun time! Monday afternoon, once we got unpacked, we took the kids to the beach, and Davis just walked straight into the water without skipping a beat or stopping. He was fully clothed, it wasn’t very warm out, and he wouldn’t respond at all to our yelling. I had to run in after him, fully clothed to get him out. He was fine, and it was hilarious! All of the kids clothes were soaked and sandy each day, but they had a blast.
TWO: Davis and Cam had a little modeling gig for The Honor Roll last weekend. Good gracious these boys are handsome! We needed updated pictures for the Etsy site to include some new designs. We now carry toddler The Sandlot t-shirts (some sizes already sold out!), and adult Friday Night Lights and Cool Runnings themed shirts. The tank tops have been updated as well. I am so proud of my husband and Ryan with this venture. Check it out!
THREE: I’ve thought some about my Easter outfits, and here is what I’ve come up with for Easter Sunday at church, and for a family dinner on Saturday. Please excuse the wrinkles!
Crepe Shawl Collar Blazer Pink | Women’s Leather Sandal | Roll Tab Sleeve Woven Shirt
Leopard Dress (sold out, but search “leopard dress” on Asos for some other cute options | Black Wedges (mine are old from Marshall’s)
FOUR: If you’re looking for a great church to attend this weekend, I’d like to invite you to visit Elevation (this link has all times and locations)! We will have worship experiences at our campuses all around Charlotte, Rock Hill, Concord, Lake Norman, RDU, Roanoke, etc, throughout the weekend.
FIVE: On Sunday morning before church, I’m planning to have Davis “hunt” for his Easter basket around the house. The details haven’t come together yet, but I do know what I’m planning to make for breakfast: (gluten free) Lemon Poppyseed Oat Pancakes from A Couple Cooks blog with Raspberry Curd and syrup. I hope my boys will like them!
Bonus: If you’d like some extra Spring cheer, find @southernlivingmag (Southern Living) on Instagram. Yesterday they posted a video of lots of animals, mostly baby animals, in honor of Spring. It is too adorable and will surely add a smile to your face.
Have a great weekend!
