Long story short…the house moving situation is quite complicated, but we’re hoping it will work out. We’ve been very preoccupied by that, but we’ve also had some fun lately:
We celebrated Cinco de Mayo with strawberry margaritas and tacos
Davis and I went strawberry picking with Sarah and Ashley and their kids
We did some planting and some painting for Mother’s Day gifts
We took a trip to the Greensboro Science Center where we enjoyed the day with Todd’s parents and his younger sister
My youngest brother-in-law graduated from college!
We celebrated Mother’s Day at my parents’ house with my dad’s side of the family (I didn’t take any good pictures there, unfortunately – just one of my boy and I before church)
Our pastor’s wife, Holly, preached this past weekend. She spoke about how the interruptions in our lives may really be invitations from God. She challenged us to view the inconveniences in our lives as opportunities, and to allow room (margin!) in our lives for God to work. With an energetic and sometimes hard-headed 2 year old, plus road blocks in the house moving process, I have been easily frustrated lately. It is easy to see hard situations as problems, but they actually may be issues that we can learn from and that God can use for good. This message came at a great time. I’m going to try my best to work on living out her points this week.
She used the story of The Good Samaritan from Luke in her sermon.
I hope you all have a great week!
