I’m back! I took most of last week off from blogging, because my laptop was sick. Thank goodness it is fixed now.
Anyway, I wanted to catch up on what’s been happening lately.
We’ve had plenty of play dates recently, which is perfect for myself and for Davis! Time to chat with other moms while he plays with his friends is ideal. These two are completely adorable together. He kept trying to scoot his chair closer to hers!
We had a fun weekend with lots of time with friends. I only have a picture from our girls day on Sunday afternoon. Ashley, Sarah and I had a little reunion involving Starbucks, shopping, and sushi. It was the best!
I bought this “Living the Dream” shirt from Marshall’s recently, and I’m kind of obsessed. I bought it to wear around the house and to sleep, but I’ve worn it out twice in the past week. The first day I wore it, I accidentally left the tags on all.day.long. Oops!
We have just about gotten everything done for Davis’ big boy bed! We took some pictures before we left on our mattress/sheets/bed rails/etc mission. Cannot believe how quickly my boy is growing! Todd was at home with Davis when the mattress was delivered and took pictures of his reaction – I’d say our boy is pretty excited!
Yesterday at church our pastor preached on these verses. They have been such an encouragement to Todd and I. You know how sometimes you hear the exact right song, sermon, or read the right quote at the exact right time? That’s how this was.
“But he said to me,
‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’
Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power
may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults,
in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
It seems like everyone (including Todd and I) are ready for Fall clothes! But since they won’t really be weather-appropriate until October, I tried to combine Fall and Summer in my outfit for church on Sunday. Vest: Fall, dress: Summer, booties: Fall. This green vest will be worn far too often this coming season, I’m sure.
Another fashion thing…I’ve really been into layering necklaces lately. I mostly wear inexpensive ones like this one from Forever 21 (the set in the picture above is also Forever 21), but I’ve also been pairing them with this drusy stone necklace from Kendra Scott.
Tomorrow’s post will be a glimpse at what we’ve been eating lately, with some clean meal ideas.
Monday is almost over! Insert praise hands emoji.

Great post. I am digging the necklace layering + Fall incorporation of outfit items.
