Friday Favorites

August 28, 2015

Happy Friday!  We have a lot of things happening today, so I’m going to get right to my 5.  I’m back this week to link up with April; Karli; Erika, Narci, and Andrea!

ONE: I found this blue planter at the Habitat for Humanity Restore and thought it would be perfect for succulents!  I’m really happy with how this turned out. For now it is on our front steps, but I think it would also be great as an outdoor centerpiece on a patio table.

TWO: With the cooler (low 80s instead of 90s ;)) temperatures in Charlotte this week, I have Fall fashion on my mind!  I’ve been pinning some outfits that would be great for early Fall/late Summer. Here are some looks I love!

THREE: We’ve had some toddler milestones here this week!  Preschool is about to start, and we had his orientation this week.  Davis is pumped to begin school!  We also moved him to a big boy bed.  He has spent 2 nights there, and so far so good.  I can’t wait to buy his bedding and finish his room!  The necessities (a.k.a. train sheets!) are complete, at least.

FOUR: Urban Outfitters bed.  This headboard is a dream!  We have a king bed, but it is currently sitting on just a frame, and we don’t have an actual bed/headboard.  I love this one, but unfortunately only comes in a Full/Queen.  It is serving as my inspiration for what to look for in a bed!

FIVE: I saw this on Natalie’s instagram this week and saved it.  These words leave no room for a bad attitude! I need this some days!

love your re-purposed plant holder. I love thrifting plant holders so many great options for so cheap. I’ve bought quite a few this week.

That planter is so pretty. I’m dying to start a garden!

Davis looks so tiny in that big boy bed! How did he do in preschool!?

I love your planter. I am a sucker for anything that has that cobalt blue color. And so jealous on your cooler temps! Definitely does not yet feel fall-like here in Fort Worth. Send those temps down south please.

Ditto, Colleen! Blue and white is my go-to color combination lately. And don’t worry, by mid-day it has been scorching here. We’ve just had a few cooler mornings, which are glorious! Hope it cools down for you soon
