We are slowly working on updating the lighting in our kitchen, dining room, and foyer. Todd and his brother changed the lights over the kitchen island!! I have compiled some lighting favorites on Pinterest, and wanted to share them here as well.

I am not dead-set on buying a new light fixture for the dining room immediately, but that project is on my radar. As you saw above, I love the look of a huge lantern, or a long, rectangular light. This is our current dining room light:

We chose these pendants from Capital Lighting. The hardware above the globe lanterns are graphite and aged brass. They have edison bulbs, which I bought from a local lighting store.
I am so happy with our new lights! It is amazing what one change can do to a space.
