Hi! So, I know there are about a million gift guides floating around the blog world, but how about another one? I personally enjoy gift guides, because the work of searching for ideas is already done!
This past year (since I turned 30), I have really been more aware of taking care of my skin. I do a lot of that through how I eat, but I also have invested more in products and makeup. I personally love to receive beauty-related gifts!
If you are looking for a gift for your mom, sister, sister-in-law, friend, co-worker, this list has a bunch of ideas, in a wide price range. This includes everything from a more generous gift to stocking stuffers!
I use basically everything on this list, and I have seen so much improvement in my skin and makeup.
Neulash – I have mentioned this many times, but I can’t help it! My mom and some friends have both commented that my eyelashes look much longer.
Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads – These are like a mini (daily or weekly) chemical peel at home and they are so darn easy! I highly recommend them.
Aztec Secret Clay Mask – If you want to truly clean out your pores and refresh your skin, this is the way to go!
Dry Brush – I dry brush my skin all over (not my face) regularly. This is good for detox, for your lymphatic system, and it can improve cellulite.
iS Clinical Youth Serum – Amazing and so worth the money. Mine has lasted me a year already, and the jar is still not empty!
Caudalie Anti-Wrinkle Defense Serum – Casey introduced me to this brand in France. It is made there and is all natural. This vitamin C serum has changed the look of my skin, and it seems to be helping fade my melasma. I was so happy to find out that it is sold in the states!
Young Living Essential Oils – I don’t sell them! But I do love them and use them constantly. There are many that are good for the skin. For my skin, I like to use Purification for a bad blemish (and mosquito bites!), Tea Tree Oil for healing, any dandruff, and blemishes, and Frankincense for wrinkles and healing blemishes. And I didn’t include it, but lavender is also amazing for skin. I have used it personally on a curling iron burn, and I used to combine it with coconut oil to treat my son’s diaper rash. My cousin and BFF, Sarah, is who I buy my oils through. (you can contact her directly!)
Nail Polishes: OPI Ski Teal We Drop; Essie Tuck it in My Tux; Essie Penny Talk; Essie Berry Naughty. Some of my favorites for this season!
Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette – I do not own this, but I have only heard rave reviews!
I spoke about my updated makeup recently, but here are the links again:
Tarte Clay Concealer – I wear Light-Medium color. My new favorite thing for those awful under eye circles
Laura Mercier Foundation – Mine is ivory. I am obsessed!
Sephora Airbrush brush set – On my Christmas wish list! This is what the makeup artist at Sephora used on my face, and they were great.
Laura Mercier Highlighter – This would truly work for just about anyone! And you only use a tiny bit, so it would last forever
Oribe Beach Waves Spray – On my wish list as well! I would love to have it for days that I wear my hair in loose waves
Goody Spin Pins – My updo MUST-HAVE. They are only a few dollars, and are genius for buns or any updo!!!
Voila Makeup Bag – From Forever 21, so it is affordable, and would be a cute way to package a gift of makeup
Wet Brush in rose gold – I don’t know why I have yet to purchase a Wet Brush, but people swear by them!
Viva La Juicy perfume – This is what I have used the past year. It is a fruity, playful, light scent.
Versace Bright Crystal – Another favorite of mine!
Monogrammed Makeup Bag – My cousin Lauren gave me a monogrammed makeup bag as a hostess gift, and I use it constantly. I love the personal touch, and this would make a great gift for any girl on your list. (Gotta love etsy!)
I forgot to include a few things on the collage:
Anastasia Contour Kit – This is now a part of my daily routine. I keep it pretty simple, and don’t do any major contouring, but it still makes an impact. And it serves as a bronzer plus highlighter.
Rosebud Salve Lip Balm – I apply this to my lips and hands every night before bed. The lid is kind of hard to get on and off, but it is worth the trouble. It makes your lips so soft!
NYX Butter Lip Gloss – My go-to lip gloss. I love the Tiramisu color (broken record…I have posted about this so many times). Would be a great stocking stuffer!
Rodan & Fields Micro-Dermabrasion Paste – I do not sell R&F! My friend Stephanie does, though. I have used this a couple of times, and now it is on my Christmas wish list! It works very well!
Mario Badescu Facial Spray – This spray has aloe, herbs and rosewater, and is meant to refresh and hydrate tired skin. I’ve heard it is great to use later in the day to give a fresh look to your makeup. At only $7 it could be perfect in a stocking!
I hope this list is helpful! I am planning to do a couple more gift guides, including one for guys in tomorrow’s Five on Friday post. Thank you for reading!
