Today I am THIRTY ONE. Being that my birthday falls at the very end of the year, I am always doing extra reflection, and more goal setting. Besides having to work harder to stay in shape 😉 and gaining even more adult responsibilities, I honestly enjoyed being 30! Our year was full of some ups and downs, but overall it was amazing, and we made so many memories!
Here is a glimpse of my year in review:
(I posted my 2015 recipe review last night!)
My 30th Birthday Party – Holy cow! My family and friends completely blew me away with this dinner party. It was just beyond.
My goals for 2015… I accomplished some of these. (This year I am going to try and put a little less pressure on myself. We’ll see how that goes!)
My favorite outfit post: black, brights, florals, and long hair (WHY did I cut my hair?!)
I had a recipe featured by Chobani (full recipe here)
I hosted a baby girl sprinkle for my friend, Margaret:
It snowed!
Todd and I went on a quick getaway to Charleston
I collaborated with FTD a few times and wrote about How to Host an Easter Brunch and Egg Hunt; Mother’s Day with FTD; 3 Ways to Reuse Mason Jars; Fall Birthday Ideas
I joined a CSA and we enjoyed a long season of local, organic produce and eggs!
We went to the mountains for a weekend with my family. And we went to Tweetsie Railroad (the highlight of Davis’ year!).
We went strawberry picking
We went to the lake with friends
We celebrated Mother’s Day
We bought a new house!
My cheese tray was featured on My Domaine in an article titled “The Most Epic Cheese Plates and How to Recreate Them“….I was so flattered!
We went to Topsail Island (my favorite place!!!) many times…
We went on a tropical vacation to the Dominican Republic with some of our best friends and Honor Roll Designs partners
We visited Casey, Aston, and Leilani while they were home in NC!
We served during Love Week at our church.
Some of my best friends had babies! Adele had Joah; Margaret had Maggie Grace; Sarah had Ezra; Erin brought Isabel home!
I co-hosted a baby sprinkle for Sarah and baby Ezra! Sarah was such a gorgeous mama-to-be!
We (Todd and Ryan) produced new looks for Honor Roll Designs. We introduced kids’ t-shirts, were mentioned on Twitter by Darren Rovell, featured on BuzzFeed, and our FRIENDS shirt was posted on YouTube by Kathleen Lights…. It was a big year!
We celebrated Todd’s 31st birthday!
I co-hosted a baby shower for Erin! This was long overdue and we were thrilled to do this for her!
I chopped my hair. I did like it then.
He grew up a whole lot, and was also our entertainment throughout the year
Todd and I went on a lot of fun dates. Including a HELICOPTER RIDE for our 9th anniversary!
We had a college roommate reunion in Boone! We had such a fun, relaxing weekend and were finally able to catch up after too many years apart
I WENT TO PARIS WITH CASEY! Such an incredible trip!
We went on a hay ride and to a pumpkin patch with some of our best friends from church and Davis was a firefighter for Halloween
We traveled to Boone to cut down our Christmas trees and attempt family pictures
We hosted part of Thanksgiving at our house!
We celebrated Davis’ 3rd birthday! (I still need to write a post about his fire truck birthday party).
We decorated Christmas cookies with our cousins!
We celebrated Christmas with all of our family!
2015 // 30 years old…such an incredible year. I feel over and abundantly blessed! Here’s to 31!
