Nothing beats a holiday weekend! Besides Todd being across the country, our July 4th weekend was great! We just missed him. My dad, brother, uncle, and my husband traveled to California on a guys’ golf trip. They played Pebble Beach, plus two other courses, and I’m pretty sure it was one of the most memorable experiences they’ve ever had!
While they were away, with my mom’s help, I was able to get a lot accomplished. I made tons of freezer meals, worked on updating the boys’ rooms, ran errands, etc.
I took Davis to get a hair cut, then we met my mom for dinner at Chop’t. Did you all know they can do kids’ meals? You can pick 3 of their “choppings” for your kids. Davis loved his meal of avocado, quinoa with black beans, and panko-breaded chicken.
My mom kept Davis for me on Friday, and I met them at the farmers’ market on Saturday. I racked up on the produce, and succulents. If you follow me on instagram, you saw that I worked on a big succulent project for our dining room table. I have a DIY post coming on that tomorrow! Truth be told, I tend to enjoy shopping for produce more than shopping for clothes. 😉
We made it to church Sunday morning, decked out in white and blue – just missing the red! Here is a 25+ week bump shot. I promise it looks bigger in person!
On Monday we picked Todd up from the airport first thing (he took the red eye home), and we drove to his parents’ house. All of Todd’s siblings, and his aunt and uncle were there. We ate a yummy, festive meal, played lots of games, and set off a few fireworks!
I made a Gluten Free Peach Crumble, that I would highly recommend trying!
