As I went to write this post, it turned out that most of my Friday favorites this week are from shopping…whoops! (But surprisingly, my finds are not from the #nsale) In the midst of a crazy (about to be much crazier) season of life, a little online shopping here and there has helped with my stress level. Plus, my husband has been gone all week, so let’s just call it retail therapy.
Today I am linking up with April, Christina, Natasha; Karli; Erika, Andrea, Narci; and Tif for all of the Friday link-ups
ONE: I finally ordered some earrings from Teal House Collection! I have been eyeing them lately, and pulled the trigger. I love these turquoise beaded drops! I am planning to wear them with this dress to a wedding in a couple of weeks. I am also obsessed with some of her necklaces, but they are a bit more of an investment…adding them to my wish list!
TWO: Todd and I recently had brunch at Little Spoon, and my breakfast tacos were served in some really fun taco holders. I searched Amazon (anyone else addicted to Prime?) and I found these! As if we needed more reasons to eat tacos! They can be warmed in the oven, which helps keep the tacos hot when served! I cannot wait to receive them and use them soon. We eat tacos often, so I know we will get some good use out of these taco holders. They’d also be a really fun and practical serving piece if you were having guests over for a taco dinner. Speaking of tacos, I want to try making beef barbacoa instead of our usual chicken for tacos. This recipe from My Baking Addiction looks great! I think I’d also add some pickled red onions and an avocado crema.
THREE: Another purchase this week. (sorry, babe) I am late to the party, but have you all heard of Clad & Cloth? I found them through Pinterest recently, and just ordered this tunic, in a size up (medium). Keep in mind that I tried it on straight from the mailbox the other night, so please excuse the wrinkles. Clearly it looks much better on the model. I am planning to wear this as my bump grows, with leggings or skinny jeans, and ankle boots. And, hello, it has pockets! I really love all of their clothes!
FOUR: I mentioned this on instagram last week, but Davis, two of his friends, and I made some frozen chocolate-dipped bananas last week! I used Feast & West Chocolate-Dipped Bananas recipe as a guideline, but we came up with our own toppings. We used sprinkles, mini chocolate chips, and graham cracker crumbs. I found the popsicle sticks from Hobby Lobby. Next time I think I would freeze the bananas slightly, in the peel, before dipping them. That way the sticks would stay in them better. Either way, the kids enjoyed making, and eating, them! And they’re a yummy and relatively healthy treat to have in the freezer on these hot summer days.
FIVE: No, seriously! Someone can bring me champagne in the delivery room. 😉 Okay, I do not truly feel this way, but some days I could reeeaallly go for a glass of wine at the end of the day. (I first saw this on April‘s blog in June and thought it was hilarious!)
Well, I am off to start the day. Our boys’ rooms are being painted today, and I can’t wait to pull the nursery together after the walls are done! I will definitely post before and after pictures. I also have several recipes I am planning to post as soon as I can get my act together. Have a wonderful weekend, and thank you for reading!

Love the tunic look on you. I need those sandals. Also, so fun that you got the taco holders for your home. I would have never thought to do that.

My husband loves chocolate covered bananas! This was a good reminder that I should make him some as a treat! I have tried dipping when slightly frozen before and really struggled, because the cold caused the chocolate in the bowl to harden before I could get them dipped. I’ll have to try keeping the chocolate on the heat next time. Happy friday!

Tunic is cute cute cute! I told Andrew the other day that I would give a limb for a strong cocktail. Of my closest 8 girlfriends in Nashville, FIVE of us are pregnant. We decided that 2017 is going to the be The Year of the Strong Cocktails. 😉

I’ve never been pregnant but I can assure you I will feel that way about wine… Those bananas look great! Have a great weekend!
