My mind is a jumbled mess this week (hello, life with a newborn!), so please bear with me. Today’s post is less structured than normal, but here is my random, stream-of-consciousness list of Friday favorites and recent happenings.
I’m linking up with these girls to share my Friday Favorites: April, Christina, Natasha; Karli; Erika, Andrea, Narci; and Tif
It is still hard to believe that I am a mom to TWO boys! Here is a glimpse at life with them this past week.
My mom was here this week! Todd had an especially busy work schedule this week, so my mom came to stay with us for a few days. She was a HUGE help!
I have been slacking as a food blogger lately, but I do have a bit of news to share! A couple of my recipes can now be ordered, and the ingredients delivered to your door, for you to make them at home. Recipost is a brand new company with a blog to table concept. You pick a recipe you want to try from one of the food bloggers on the site, and the ingredients and recipes are delivered to your door! Think Blue Apron, but your meals are recipes done by food bloggers! I’d love for you to check out their site.
We decided that Davis is old enough this year to participate in the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child shoe box gifts. My mom and I took both boys to Target earlier this week to fill up our boxes, one for a girl, and one for a boy. Though it felt like we were in Target all day, and even though Davis was a little crazy, we enjoyed filling up our cart with gifts for children who would not otherwise receive Christmas presents.
I am a huge fan of vests in the fall and winter. I ordered this vest from H&M recently, and I have since worn it multiple times. Layering is key in NC right now, because the days start cool, and end up warm by the afternoon. This long sweater vest also camouflages the areas where my baby weight is hanging out. I linked to some other options as well.
Christmas music on repeat. Yes, I have started listening to Christmas carols…mainly in the form of old school favorites like Mariah Carey and NSync, along with some newer versions from Pentatonix and Michael Buble. Davis is obsessed with “Jingle Bells” and “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” so those have been playing in our house for months now.
Anyone else excited for the GILMORE GIRLS premier next week?! You can bet I’ll be wearing one of our shirts! If you’d like one, we re-stocked last week, and there’s still time to order one for it to arrive before Thanksgiving.
Amen. I am in daily need of extra motivation…sometimes in the form of words, and always in the form of caffeine in my coffee mug!
Happy weekend!

Has anyone ever told you that you look like Trista Sutter from the Bachelorette? Loving all of your clothing finds! Double yes on the Christmas music! I posted a very similar screenshot on my Friday Favorites today! Have a great weekend!
