I’m finally getting around to posting the second half of our trip to 30A! If you’d like to read about the first part of our trip, click here. We had the most wonderful time in Florida, and going through the rest of the pictures has me dying to go back asap! Here are all of the photos, memories, restaurants, and fun things we did until our sad departure from this wonderful place!
On Thursday we went out for breakfast in Seaside. The Great Southern Cafe did NOT disappoint! The setting and service were both so nice, and the food was great. They even added special touches for the boys’ pancakes. Todd and I had to get up and walk around with the boys a couple of times, but the area was suitable for that.
That afternoon Todd and I were able to go on a beach walk by ourselves. We brought along a cocktail, because, vacation!
We had lots of sweet moments around the house with my parents and brother. That is one definite advantage of renting a house versus staying in a hotel or individual condo units.
We took regular bike rides down to Alys Beach. We rented bikes for us, but brought Davis’ bike down from Charlotte with us. I was obsessed with the sunsets and scenery! We took turns going out for dinner some nights, so that we could enjoy restaurants without having to take the boys with us every night. 🙂
This is Davis’ bike. He rides it every.single.day. It came with training wheels, but he took them off one day last year and hasn’t looked back!
The next morning Todd and I rode our bikes down to Alys Beach again for coffee and some work time at Fonville Press. We got there right when it opened at 7, and it was already busy. It seems like a popular place, and I can see why! Such a great atmosphere. Todd had a conference call, so I worked on a catering proposal.
That afternoon we had a snack plate lunch out by the pool!
And did y’all see the video of my dad trying to jump onto the penguin pool float?! I posted it on instagram. He had me laughing so hard I just about peed in my bathing suit.
We spent more time at the beach.
Then we visited Stinky’s Fish Camp for dinner. It was quite a drive, but really fun to feed the turtles and eat oysters. Dining out with little kids is always a little crazy, but the paloma I ordered helped. 😉 My mom was sweet enough to take the boys home after dinner, and Patrick, Dad, Todd and I went out for another drink at 723 Whiskey Bravo. We tried to go to Red Bar in Grayton, but it was crazy packed.
We were able to enjoy another day at the beach, then it was time to pack up. Todd and I woke up around 2 am to drive home. We had hoped the boys would sleep a lot in the car, and even though they were quiet for the beginning, they only slept for a little while. But honestly all of the driving and craziness in the car was worth it! We loved our time at Seacrest Beach. It was fabulous.
Can’t wait to go back to 30A!
