Even though November is not quite finished, I wanted to share my favorites for this month. Since this week is the ultimate shopping time, and everyone will be buying Christmas presents, I thought a few of these might be helpful. I am not planning to do any gift guides, but there are some items here that could make great gifts! But then there are also some totally random items, like a great corn tortilla I found, ha!
I always post this disclaimer at the bottom of posts that have affiliate links, but I wanted to add it here, too. Some of these links are affiliate, meaning I receive a tiny commission from clicks and purchases made. But, I genuinely love to share these types of posts, and always appreciate the feedback and discussion they bring! They’re fun to put together, and the small commission is just a bonus. 🙂
RH Slippers.
These things are my best friends as soon as the temperatures drop. No lie, I wear them nonstop at home when it’s cold outside. My brother-in-law gave them to me for Christmas, and they are awesome. Very affordable, and would make a perfect gift for your girlfriends, mom, or mother-in-law.
Corn Tortillas.
These taste like the real deal. I found them at Sprouts in the refrigerated section, and the texture is so much better than the basic ones you find at grocery stores. They are partially cooked, but you just quickly char them (I did that in a saute pan) and they’re ready to eat.
J.Crew Chelsea Rain Boots.
These are no longer available in camo, but I love this green, and the black, too. Hard to beat the price! I wear mine with my full-length Zella leggings, or skinny jeans. You can see them at the bottom of this picture.
Clearly I only take pictures of my shoes when food is involved. Whoops!
The vacuum!!!
The vacuum that Todd said might change our lives. (We bought the Dyson V8 Absolute Cordless Stick vacuum). I was skeptical of all of the hype, but it really is THAT GOOD. Cordless, fast, the best suction, works well on tons of golden retriever hair, and gets under furniture and around curves effortlessly. Plus Davis asks to vacuum daily and when your child asks to do chores, you know it’s a win! He’s actually vacuuming again as I write this post. I bet it will go on sale for Black Friday, so definitely check it out this week! Update: The one we bought – the Dyson V8 is actually on major sale already!
This cocktail.
Spiced Cranberry Rose Spritzer. I served this for our Friendsgiving supper club and it was a hit! Bonus – it can be made ahead of time. FYI, the sugared rosemary takes much longer to dry and crystallize than one hour. I made mine the day before.
Target candlesticks.
My friends picked on me for going on and on about these, but they made my Thanksgiving tablescape! And I know they will be used many times in the future.
New stools for our island.
I searched and searched for new stools, and these are the favorite ones I found by far. We ordered them a few months ago, got them in this week and we have been loving them! I didn’t want to get anything upholstered, because I knew they’d be covered in stains immediately. These make our kitchen look pulled together, and they are much more comfortable (and safe for Ridge) to sit in.
Vitamin C serum and eye serum.
I have mentioned this before, but started chatting with some girls about it on instagram recently, so I wanted to share again. This vitamin C serum is a good competitor to the Skinceuticals one, but for a fraction of the price. That plus retin-A have drastically improved my melasma. I recently ordered the eye serum and have been really happy with it. One of these days I’m going to share my full skincare + makeup routine.
Wildbrine kraut and kimchi.
Random, I know, but I have been adding this to more meals lately, and it’s so good. And really good for you. I’ve been enjoying the beet and cabbage one on all of my lunch bowls.
This Hot Toddy shirt.
Todd’s nickname in college was Hot Todd. Seriously. 🙂 I know this shirt was meant for Ole Miss fans, or because of the drink, but I had to have it! I first saw it on my friend Mallory’s blog, and ordered it immediately! It comes with other phrase options, too. My other favorites say “Cheers” and “Apres Ski.”
Body Love book.
I really appreciate Kelly Leveque’s stance on food and nutrition. This is not some crazy diet scheme about deprivation. She explains the science behind the hormonal effects of food, which truly helps explain hunger, blood sugar levels, diabetes, that afternoon slump, and so much more. She dives deep into why we should eat Fab 4 meals, and her philosophy behind starting your day with a balanced smoothie.
mindbodygreen podcast with Gisele Bundchen.
Her perspective on healing her anxiety and panic attacks is fascinating and inspiring. I don’t necessarily agree with all of her beliefs, but she is certainly dedicated to health and helping the environment. Her commitment to treating her body well is so admirable.
Trader Joe’s Reserve Wine.
Two different TJ’s employees have told me about this wine, and I bought some for Thanksgiving. Check your stores, and if they still have some left, try the reserve pinot noir!
Sarah Tucker’s gift guides.
Her picks are original and special. I love all of the sentimental ideas she shares!
Mycah’s gift guides on Home Sweet Hunter.
Her aesthetic is just so pretty. The tray and the books from her decor gift post are so lovely! I may be adding some of her favorites to my wish list.
Primary.com striped pajamas
I bought these red and white striped ones for the boys to wear during the Christmas season!
Camo toddler pants.
These from Target were a great find for Ridge! Comfy and stylish…and cheap!
Toddler trampoline.
If you’re looking for a great gift for an energetic 2-3 year old, here ya go! This little trampoline has been so nice to have, especially when our boys are a bit rambunctious. It keeps them from jumping on the furniture too much! Davis is almost 6 and he jumps on it, too, but it is definitely geared more towards the younger ones.
That’s all for now! I hope you all have a fantastic Thanksgiving!
