Uashmama is a brand that I have worked with in the past, and I love their products! When we went to Disney world last year, I relied on their backpacks daily in the parks, and through the airports. Their products are constructed from items such as washable paper and 100% organic cotton. They are practical, sustainable, eco-friendly, and beautiful. The Italian-made products look like leather, but are surprisingly made from paper, and are easy to clean! Washable is a necessary descriptor in a house full of boys. 😉 Uashmama sent me an apron, placemats, and a beach or pool bag!
My friend, Erin Jackson, took these photos, and I love how they turned out! She has taken some family pictures for us in the past, and she is always wonderful to work with. We used this project as an excuse to hang out and have some girl time, and our kids played.
Beach or Pool Bag
Roomy, easily cleaned, sturdy, and matches everything! This bag is perfect for beach or pool trips. I was able to fit towels, Ridge’s floatie, extra sunglasses, books, sunscreen, goggles, and snacks with room to spare! We are headed to the beach next week, and I am bringing this bag with me. Mine is color cachemire.
Bag | Coverup (Dress) is from Vici, but it looks to be sold out | Sandals (sold out in brown, but available in black) | Bracelets
Bag | Sunscreen | Face Sunscreen | Beach Reads this Summer: 1, 2, 3 | Sunglasses | Towel
Uashmama’s Giulia bag will also be perfect for overnight trips, especially with lots to pack for a new baby!
Apron
Uashmama’s aprons are made from 100% organic cotton and are made in Tuscany. The straps (braces) are sold separately, so that you can pick your color! I went with a metallic, and I love the light blue and gold combination. It looks like the light blue is sold out, but there are plenty of other pretty colors. I almost picked the Quarzo, which is a blush pink. As much as I cook, I was in need of an apron! This one is heavy duty and can be washed.
This salad was arugula and mixed greens topped with grilled corn and grass-fed ribeye. Before grilling the corn, I drizzled it with avocado oil, salt and pepper, and the steak was simply topped with some salt and pepper, grilled, and sliced thin. The rest of the salad included radishes, cucumber, tomato, and goat cheese. I dressed it lightly with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, pink sea salt and black pepper. Summer flavors that work best are light and refreshing. Plus, I never turn down a chance to use the grill!
To keep the menu summer-appropriate and easy for entertaining, I put together a fresh fruit tray. For tips on how to put together a beautiful fruit tray, see this post.
Placemats
Though Todd and I have friends and family over often, I am not the greatest at consistently setting the table. Having some new placemats that can be easily cleaned (praise!!) will encourage me to truly set the table more. These gray oval placemats are stain-resistant, neutral in color, and add a fun shape contrast to my rectangle dining room table!
For the drink I wanted something bubbly and non-alcoholic. To keep it easy, I placed ice, lime slices, and fresh blackberries and blueberries in stemless wine glasses. We poured Pellegrino sparkling water over the fruit, and done!
I hope these ideas for easy Summer entertaining and prepping for the beach are helpful! Special thank you to Uashmama for these beautiful products!
